Voicemail is without doubt one of the most important extra features that you can add to your 0845 or 0333 number – or any phone number really. It doesn't need much explaining – it allows you to leave a recorded message for your callers when you can't answer the phone and then records any messages left for you. If you don't put a voicemail on your phone number, people calling you will just be faced with a continuous ring, or with an engaged tone when they try to call you. Neither are great, as if people are just ringing a list of numbers to get quotes on the off chance and your competitors offer the same thing as you, they might not bother to call back. Sometimes you only get one bite at the cherry, and you don't want to miss out.

Call recordings – for both inbound calls and outbound calls - are also self explanatory. They record your calls, and then email you the recording afterwards so that you have it for your records. This means that you can store it with your emails and other documents relating to that client if applicable, thus having everything in one place. The recordings can also be good for training purposes, and for checking the details of something if there is a dispute over what was agreed.

Call Whisper is very handy if you have an 0845 or 0333 number for business or other reasons pointed to a phone that you use to receive personal calls, or if you have more than one business, and have the numbers for those businesses all pointing to the same phone. Normally, you won't know if it is a friend calling or a business call, or which business it is that someone is calling. Call Whisper is a recorded short message played to you when you answer the phone so that you know which number the caller is calling. So, for example, if you have a 0800 business number pointed to your mobile phone, but you also receive personal calls, you can have a call whisper saying "0800 business calls" so that you know how to answer the phone. Or if you have more than one business, you could have it say the name of the business. Answering and not knowing which business they are calling for could be, at best, embarrassing.

Finally, Online Call Statistics allows you to see online who has called you, for how long, which calls you missed etc. and allows you to monitor your calls on a daily basis
